Sundyne’s Role in Supporting Electric Vehicle Production

ANSIMAG pumps play a key role in making Lithium Ion batteries for electric vehicles. The parts of the battery that charge & discharge electrical currents require surface coatings. These coatings are made by pumping a slurry mixture of polymers which bind particles together to facilitate the chemical reactions needed to generate voltage & current.

A key problem that ANSIMAG addresses in this application is the fact that these polymers are corrosive, toxic, flammable and highly destructive to non-ETFE-lined pumps. Leaks are to be avoided at all costs. Durability and streamlined maintenance are also primary requirements.
