Sundyne Joins the France Hydrogen Association

Sundyne’s Pumps & Compressors offer Functionality Specifically Suited to Hydrogen Applications

Dijon, France and Arvada, Colorado – July 12, 2021:  Sundyne, a leader in the design and manufacture of mission critical pumps & compressors, today announced that it has joined the France Hydrogen Association, which is a group of companies & organizations representing all aspects of the Hydrogen value chain.

The France Hydrogen Association seeks to:

  • Structure a high-performance, competitive and innovative French hydrogen sector,
  • Discuss challenges faced by the industry, and work to shape innovative solutions,
  • Promote the benefits of Hydrogen applications,
  • Facilitate dialogue around global, national & local initiatives,
  • Develop a regulatory framework to support the deployment of hydrogen technologies in France.

“Sundyne’s technology experts bring a helpful voice to this discussion because pumps and compressors play an important role in the hydrogen solutions we need for a successful energy transition,” said Stéphanie Paysant, Communications Director of France Hydrogène.  “We’re looking forward to collaborating with Sundyne to reinforce the hydrogen industrial value chain.”

For more than 20 years, Sundyne’s compressors have played an important role in production, transportation and distribution of Hydrogen around the globe.  Sundyne’s PPI compressors are specifically designed to address the challenges associated with compressing H2 from low pressure levels (such as electrolyser outlet pressure) up to levels that are required by today’s vehicles that run on Hydrogen.

The centrifugal integrally-geared compressors in Sundyne’s LMC/BMC/LF-2000 series are engineered to optimize the efficiency of hydrogen compression for Energy, Petrochemical, Chemical and Industrial businesses. Available from 100 to 17,000 m3/hr, these compressors are a preferred choice for H2 gas applications.

Sundyne also offers a range of sealless pumps that are well suited to this industry.  Sundyne’s magnetic drive sealless pumps reduce the danger of emissions or leaks.  ETFE-lined Ansimag pumps or HMD metallic pumps offer proven solutions for pumping caustic liquids in electrolysers, or for any kind of pumping application.

“We look forward to collaborating with our colleagues in the France Hydrogen Association to learn more about the industry’s needs & requirements, and also to align Sundyne’s engineering prowess in a manner that helps to address these emerging needs,” said Sundyne’s Global Compressor Product Line Manager Grégory Junot.
